JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Broadcast Centre and attend all show setups, show calls, and meetings; support both Broadcast and Stage Management Departments with the Stage Manager.
  • Set up and operate broadcast equipment, maintain programming logs, and assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Control video transmission quality, including fidelity, brightness, contrast, signal clarity, and strength; align antennas/dishes and switch input/output sources as required.
  • Work with IT to maintain live TV signals and ensure technical systems in the Owner’s Suite and Private Dining Room are functioning properly; support special events.
  • Communicate with the Cruise Director and other departments; troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in video areas, follow Public Health & Safety Policies, and report technical issues through Voyage Reports.
  • Support Broadcast Managers from other ships when required.
  • Supervise and delegate duties to the Video Technician and monitor their performance with the Stage Manager.
  • Provide high-quality guest service according to Viking’s STAR Service Standards and Public Health Policies.
  • Lead and support a multicultural team, participate in the Daily Reunion, and manage direct reports including performance reviews, discipline, MLC compliance, training, succession planning, communication, and recognition.
  • Follow PPE, lifting, grooming, uniform, safety, and company property protection requirements.
  • Ensure the team is knowledgeable about ports of call, shore excursions, onboard activities, entertainment, and programs.
  • Contribute to Entertainment Department quality and financial KPIs and comply with Public Health, Environmental, Safety & Security, fire prevention, and evacuation procedure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Cruise Director and Assistant Cruise Director.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Must be Vietnamese citizens.
  • Must have proven experience as a Broadcast Manager, as well as demonstrable experience with computer systems (both hardware and software), for the purpose of setting up and supporting broadcasting, is required; shipboard experience is preferred. 
  • A Bachelor’s Degree focusing on technical theater or broadcasting is preferred. Training and education in visual electronics will be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and the following key equipment and software: AJA KiPro, Wowza Server, FileZilla, Cisco, Leightronix, Oppo Player, Christie Projector, Dolby Controller, Satellite Antenna Control Unit, AMX Control, BGM System, IPTV, Monit, is preferred. 
  • Must have experience working with Apple hardware, as well as Apple Final Cut Pro and Compressor. 
  • Fluent in English - must be able to address any kind of information in an adequate manner with excellent oral and written English communication skills.  
  • Must have experience in leading multi-cultural teams; flexible, stress resistant, committed team player; proactive problem-solving skills are required; team builder with exceptional work ethic, organizational and motivational skills, and coaching abilities. 
  • Strong administration skills are preferred and must be proficient with PC based databases, spread sheets, and word processing systems. 
  • Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards are required, with excellent knowledge of all Public Health and Safety Policies.

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFIT

  • Monthly salary is paid via on-board Visa card, no tax deduction.
  • Five (5) paid vacation days for each month worked is included in the salary; this is accumulated and only paid at the end of the contract.
  • Health insurance is provided during the contract period (not applicable to vacation).
  • All crew have life insurance at $100,000 death in service benefit.
  • No charge for crew laundry facilities, including detergent dispensers.
  • Free Wi-fi on-board.
  • Medical and visa expenses will be reimbursed on the first payroll against original receipts.
  • The company covers flights and transfer to the vessel from and to your nearest international airport of your country of residence; hotel overnight is optional for long-distance travels.
  • Uniform is provided; including shoes and safety equipment, and maintained by our main laundry.
  • Two-crew only recreational areas (indoor and outdoor).
  • Access to the guest gym after 10 PM.
